Adrian Hashmi

Adrian Hashimi is a New York-based filmmaker, illustrator, and storyteller. In the last 30 years, he has created stories for films, television, advertising, and publishing. 

Recently, he collaborated with the legendary award-winning director and filmmaker, Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather series, Apocalypse Now) on the upcoming feature Megalopolis.

This year he also worked with Director Doug Liman & Director/Stunt Coordinator Simon Crane (Jason Bourne, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) for the upcoming feature Instigators (starring Matt Damon).

Over the years, he worked with Oscar-nominated filmmaker, JC Chandor, on acclaimed movies such as Triple Frontier (starring Ben Affleck),  A Most Violent Year (starring Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain), and All is Lost, (starring Robert Redford). 

The latest project he worked on with  Mr. Chandor is the upcoming Marvel superhero flick, Kraven the Hunter (starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe).

As an Independent filmmaker, Adrian wrote and directed the award-winning comedy series ‘Common Good Comedy’ which garnered numerous awards including the Grand Jury’s Best Comedy at the Oniros Film Festival in 2020.

In 2018 he received the Excellence in Filmmaking award for his dance narrative short film ‘Mirage’. 

Amongst his noted projects are NBC’s Mini series King’s ( starring Ian McShane) directed by Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games).

Over the years Adrian has also illustrated a series of travel books for Random House, Concept Designs for stages and live performances, and countless television and print commercials. 

In his spare time, he plays Blues & Metal on his favorite guitars and writes and illustrates short stories based on 15th Century Malaya and other fantastic tales.

Adrian is a graduate of the University of Kansas, School of Fine Arts.
